The Beaumont, Texas, community is mourning the loss of Axel Williams, a recent high school graduate whose death came just days before his 18th birthday.

Axel spent his final summer with KIDmunity, performing in Little Shop of Horrors only a few weeks before his death. His connection with the organization also included a previous appearance as the “hot UPS guy” in Legally Blonde.

Those who worked with Axel described watching him grow in confidence and step outside his comfort zone. His involvement in theater gave him opportunities to challenge himself, meet new people and create memories that will remain important to those who knew him.
