The Cleveland community is mourning the deaths of Heaven Hennings, 20, and Caiden Ozanich, 19, who were killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 71 in Strongsville, Ohio, Saturday afternoon.

According to the information provided, the crash occurred at approximately 1:15 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-71 north of Ohio 82. Strongsville police arrived to find the vehicle off the roadway in a nearby ditch.

What Happened

Hennings and Ozanich were passengers in the vehicle when it left the roadway. Ozanich was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hennings was transported by ambulance to Southwest General Hospital, where she later died from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver, whose identity has not been released, suffered multiple injuries and was airlifted to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.

The collision resulted in a significant emergency response and forced the closure of southbound I-71 for several hours.
