Willie Bryant, 60, Killed in Motorcycle Accident in Tuscaloosa County, AL — Death & Obituary

TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. — Willie P. Bryant, 60, of Sawyerville, Alabama, died following a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on Alabama 69 in Tuscaloosa County on Wednesday night, August 12, 2026.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the crash happened at approximately 8:15 p.m. near mile marker 137, about four miles south of the Tuscaloosa city limits. Bryant was operating a 2004 Honda VTX1300C motorcycle when it was struck by an SUV.

The impact threw Bryant from the motorcycle. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The SUV driver was also injured and transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment. A 14-year-old juvenile passenger in the SUV was likewise injured and taken to a local hospital. Authorities have not released further details about their conditions.

The circumstances leading to the collision remain under investigation. Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are working to determine what caused the motorcycle and SUV to collide.
