LANCASTER, Pa. — Jonathan Leed, a man who had recently been arrested by Columbia Police, died Thursday morning at Lancaster General Hospital in an incident authorities are investigating as a suicide.

According to Columbia Police, emergency crews transported Leed to the hospital on August 11 after officers responded to an encounter during which police said Leed charged toward them and at one point attempted to grab an officer’s Taser.

Following the incident, Leed was taken to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment. Police said a warrant had been issued for his arrest upon his expected release from the hospital.
